Is your beef truly 100% grass-fed and grass-finished?
Yes. Every beef cut we offer is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, meaning cattle eat native Texas forage their entire lives — never grain, never feedlot. This produces clean, nutrient-dense beef with a more natural omega-3 profile and deep, honest flavor.
Where does your beef come from?
Most of our beef comes from Raised Wild Texas, a small regenerative ranch committed to ethical, pasture-based agriculture.
We also offer a Primal Blend Ground Beef from Prairie Farmstead and a small-batch ground beef from Full Quiver Farms.
All beef is:
- Pasture-raised
- Grass-finished
- Hormone-free
- Antibiotic-free
- Sourced from real Texas families we know personally
No corporate suppliers. No commodity beef.
What makes Raised Wild Texas beef different from grocery store beef?
Raised Wild Texas cattle live outdoors, graze native forage, drink clean water, and grow at a natural pace.
Grocery store beef typically comes from cattle:
- Finished on grain in feedlots
- Transported long distances
- Raised with hormones or antibiotics
ROCK Farmhouse beef = regenerative, traceable, and raised on real Texas land, not industrial systems.
Is grass-finished beef more nutritious?
es. Grass-finished beef naturally contains:
- Higher omega-3 fatty acids
- More conjugated linoleic acid (CLA)
- More antioxidants like vitamin E
- Cleaner fat profile from pasture forage
Many families say they feel the difference in digestion, nourishment, and satiety.
Are your cattle ever given hormones or antibiotics?
No.
All beef we carry is hormone-free, antibiotic-free, and chemical-free — always.
What cuts are limited or hard to get?
Some cuts exist in very small quantities on each animal. This includes:
- Flank Steak (only 1–2 per cow)
- Skirt Steak (1 per cow)
- Picanha (1 per cow)
- Bavette (1–2 per cow)
- Filet Mignon (only a small portion of the tenderloin)
If you see these available, they likely won’t last long. Frequent sellouts are normal.
Why does your ground beef taste different from grocery store ground beef?
Our ground beef comes from cattle raised on regenerative pastures.
There are no fillers, no scraps, no additives — only whole-muscle beef cuts ground fresh.
This produces clean flavor, better texture, and nutrient density you can feel.
What’s the best way to cook grass-finished beef?
Grass-finished beef is naturally leaner and cooks faster.
For best results:
- Cook over medium heat (not high)
- Use a meat thermometer
- Pull steaks 5–10° early and rest
- Slow-cook or braise roasts for tenderness
- Add fat (butter, tallow) for best flavor
We include cooking tips in many product descriptions.
